With reference to your letter numbered 53889/39 of 29th November, 1939, in regard to the release of either Flight Lieutenant M.N. Oxford or Flying Officer E. F. Nelson, I am directed to inform you that the latter officer was released from air force service on 3rd February, 1940, in order to resume his duties as Assistant Superintendent of Hong Kong Aerodrome.

This officer has been released from air force service for a period of six months from 3rd February and he will, therefore, be regarded as available for air force service as from 3rd August, 1940.
